Make our tea latte: Sjokomint Latte

When we ran Tehuset in Lille Grensen, we made many signature drinks and some were more successful than others... A sweet variety that quickly became "The usual" order for many of our regular customers was Sjokomint Latte.

The flavor combination is far from unknown, but with the steamed, rich milk it still has a unique taste and mouthfeel. Does that sound exciting?

This is how you make Sjokomint Latte

This gives a large cup: (which is about 4dl)
  • Calculate about two tablespoons of Moroccan mint or Mint 2
  • Put the tea in a pot
  • Top up with 2 dl water
  • Boil the water and turn off the stove
  • Let it stand and infuse for 4-6 minutes
  • Strain the tea leaves over a cup
  • Add the desired amount of chocolate powder to the tea (maybe 2 tablespoons per cup?)
  • Now put 2 dl of milk in the pot
  • Let it come to a boil and preferably simmer a little on a low heat, then the milk will become thick. (But be careful that it doesn't burn and boil over - it's done quickly!)
  • Mix the milk with the tea
  • Feel free to sprinkle some chocolate powder on top if you made the milk thick enough (otherwise it will flow out)
  • Feel free to use cream and chocolate nibs for a delicious Instagram picture

  • Let it stand and infuse for 4-6 minutes
  • Strain the tea out of the T-brewer and into the cup
