This is the traditional chai, with all the ingredients in perfect harmony. A strong and spicy brew that warms the soul.
Chai means tea and has its origins in the Indian subcontinent. Chai is made with tea and a mixture of different spices.
As a base in this original chai, we use a strong black Assam tea mixed with the classic spices; cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and ginger.
You can enjoy our chai blend with or without milk and sugar. See our recipe for how to easily make a chai latte . In the summer, this is also good for making an iced chai latte - it's refreshing, spicy and sweet iced tea.

Making chai latte
To make a chai latte, brew this tea with half the recommended amount of water (as shown on the bag) and add hot milk instead of the last half. (Read our recipe for chai latte here )

This is how we make a good chai
Time spent: Under 15 min
This is what you need:
- Masala chai
- Milk or other substitute
- Sugar/sweetener
- Cinnamon for garnish
Approach:
- Bring 2 tablespoons masala chai for each cup (which is about 2dl) in a pot
- Top up with milk (2 dl per cup is usual)
- Bring to a gentle boil, turn the plate down, and let it brew for 4-6 minutes
- Then strain this into the cup
- Add the desired amount of sugar to the pot (maybe 1 tablespoon per cup?)
- Let it come to a boil and preferably simmer a little on a low heat, then the milk will become thick. (But be careful that it doesn't burn and boil over - it's quickly done)
- Feel free to sprinkle a little cinnamon on top if you made the milk thick enough (otherwise the cinnamon will float out)
We received two gold stars for this tea at the world's largest food and drink competition in England . This means that there are more people than us who think it is unique and excellent! |

An organic product is produced in a way that takes the environment into account by not using chemical and synthetic pesticides. It's good for the planet, but also for the tea, the farmer and you. By buying organic teas, you support healthy and long-term tea production.
NO-ØKO-01
We are proud to be the largest Norwegian brand importer of organic tea. To be approved by Debio and use the definition Organic, not only must the ingredients be certified organic, but our own plant must also be certified by Debio and controlled by Mattsilynet.
In addition to import controls from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, we go beyond the requirements by also taking random samples for pesticides/pesticides and other pollutants.
It is important that tea is stored protected from air and light. That's why we sell all our teas packed in tight aluminum bags with a zip lock.
