This oolong is to be considered a classic oolong. Iron goddess is made in the classic way and receives medium oxidation and moderate roasting. The result gives aromas that can be associated with roasted buckwheat and it has a subtle note of dried apricot.
A divinely elegant floral and sweet taste, which oolong connoisseurs will also appreciate.
This tea can be brewed several times on the same leaves. This applies in particular to oolong, which can be brewed up to 4 times.
In general, oolong tea is a semi-oxidized tea. This happens by the leaves being pounded, preferably in a bamboo drum, and fried in repetitive exercises over a period of time until the desired oxidation is achieved. Oxidation of oolong can vary from 10 to 90%. The production of oolong is complicated and the tea is able to hold a complexity of taste and aroma beyond what white, green or yellow tea can.
An organic product is produced in a way that takes the environment into account by not using chemical and synthetic pesticides. It's good for the planet, but also for the tea, the farmer and you. By buying organic teas, you support healthy and long-term tea production.
We are proud to be the largest Norwegian brand importer of organic tea. To be approved by Debio and use the definition Organic, not only must the ingredients be certified organic, but our own plant must also be certified by Debio and controlled by Mattsilynet.
In addition to import controls from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, we go beyond the requirements by also taking random samples for pesticides/pesticides and other pollutants.
It is important that tea is stored protected from air and light. That's why we sell all our teas packed in tight aluminum bags with a zip lock.
